TU Berlin Alumni Workshop SOLANO TRINIDADE, Brazil

The Alumni Workshop took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and aimed at pooling the expertise of the participants on complex problems such as planetary urbanisation, vulnerability, climate change, and food security. It combined their knowledge and networks by activating transdisciplinary networks and discussing strategic solutions for sustainable and resilient transformations in urban space.

The context of this Alumni Workshop was the self-organized occupation of Solano Trindade in Duque de Caxias in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro. The workshop aimed at making a supportive contribution to the promotion of cooperation between scientists, influencers, decision-makers, students and civil society for the development of innovative social technologies and the testing of collaborative forms of working and producing urban spaces. The main focus was a collaborative on-site workshop in Solano Trindade that included the interactive participation of the alumni, lecturers, students, residents and the locally active cooperatives.
