Bernadette Heiermann is an Assistant Professor for Building Typologies and Design Basics, RWTH University at Aachen and practising as an architect.
In 2005 she cofounded the design-develop-build studio at the Architecture Faculty of RWTH Aachen. Since then, several buildings have been realized by German architecture students in South Africa, as classroom buildings near Johannesburg and a Kindergarden in Ceres.
Since 2013 she is also working as an Interim Professor at the the University of Applied Studies in Detmold with focus on construction and material research.
Together with Severin Heiermann she is leading the architecture studio Heiermann Architekten, Cologne.
