Betül Toy, architect, researcher, and academic. She is a PhD candidate in Architectural Design at Istanbul Technical University. She graduated from the Department of Architecture in 2013, earned a Master’s degree in Architectural Design in 2016, and another Master’s degree in History of Architecture in 2020. She worked as an architect in various offices and is also the former Editor-in-Chief of YAPI Journal. Her academic fields include social responsibility in architectural education, the role of architects in society, common good, deontology, architectural design pedagogy, contemporary learning paradigms, and experiential learning. She has also worked on various academic studies and practical endeavors in design/build.
